Events and Tournaments

Forthcoming competitions and tournaments are listed below and are free for all club members to enter and enjoy. Please note:

  • For further information or to enter please call Head Coach and Tournament Referee, Simon Baker on 07584 133196 or email at simon.baker@gdtennis.co.uk
  • If you are entering a doubles competition please confirm if you already have a partner and who it is. If you would like to enter but don’t have a partner please confirm and Simon will find one for you.
  • Entry deadlines are 1 week prior to the beginning of the event or competition.
Updates and further information will be issued nearer to the competition dates.

Mixed Doubles Tournaments:

Legends Tournament - Sunday 3rd November
4.00-7.00pm on external hard courts.
Players in 2 teams, captained by Simon and Mike. Each player will be assigned the name of a 'legend', a leading tennis player current or past. If you wish, dress up as the assigned 'legend' - there will be a prize awarded for the best costume, or the best look-a-like.

Rules: 3 full sets with no sudden death scoring, unless both teams agree they want to play short deuces and a match tie break to 10 instead of a full third set.
